Get to know your car before you start "improving". Then you'll know what you need/want to do. Spend time improving the driver. These are always overlooked. Nothing causes a facepalm quite like a modded car with a driver that obviously doesn't know how to drive it.

Power is JDM spec ~240hp with 600kg plus driver to haul around

I didn't change anything for a while after I got my S2000. The First thing I did change though was the Intake. I replaced the stock one with a K&N FIPK intake system. To be honest though, the only reason why I changed to the FIPK was because I had a friend who worked for a company that built custom work trucks and he got permission to order himself and some of his friends intake systems from K&N using the business account. So we ended up getting them for really cheep. Had it not been that type of situation with a discount involved, I doubt I would have changed anything for quite awhile longer.

For about the first year, aside from replacing the head unit & speakers....all the running gear was stock.
If you look in my sig you'll see I still have not done all that much to it. The FlashPro makes a huge difference, but that is just for 06+.
Just drive it for a while....see if there are any local groups that meet. Talk to and see other cars that may help.
