Rpg51 we think alike for sure, I don't plan on any exhaust, lowering, or mods that cannot easily be changed back to stock. It already has the stereo and modifry mods, also has the William Laurent sub/amp in the trunk. Tires are original so they will be changed ASAP, any advice? I was thinking either Michelin SS or Continental DWS???

I'm partial to bridgestone tires as they have a stiffer sidewall than most. The pole position s-04's are in the same category as the two choices you mentioned. The bridgestone re-71 grips very well and really shows off what the s2000 is capable of. You mentioned not getting an exhaust but in my opinion the s2000 has one of the best exhaust notes of any car and should be let out for the world to enjoy lol. And a test pipe also wakes the car up a bit... Good luck with the car. You will definitely enjoy!

I have had Bridgestone in the past and the road noise after they wear a little drove me insane, has that changed??? We will see about the exhaust, I'll drive stock for a little while and then see. All of my prior toys have had exhausts, but they were M-Cars, Shelbys, and P-Cars. I would have to hear the S2000 with one, I certainly don't want that raspy civic sound.

Thats my thing. Most of the exhausts for the car make it sound like a civic.

Congrats on the car. Lovely purchase.

Congrats on the car. Lovely purchase.
The issue I had with the exhaust in OEM form is it sounds too much like an Accord. The UK mod is a nice go between.

I've tried a few different tire brands (Yokohama, Dunlop, Falken, Kumho, Hankook, Bridgestone) and noise wise they are all about the same except for the dunlops which had a lot of road noise. Honestly i've never tried continentals or michelins lol. I hear people like them but michelins tend to have softer sidewalls. From my experiences all the bridgestones i've had have been the best. The re-760's were great. The s-04 pole positions were great. And now I have the re-71's and they are amazing so far...

Yes some exhausts just give straight up noise which sounds raspy and "ricey". My HKS 75mm single sounds beautiful almost exotic. Has a 350z-ish tone under light throttle and on aggressive down shifts. But it drones with the top up so having a hard top it would probably be a little annoying. If I were to buy another exhaust it would be the greddy spectrum elite dual. Has pure tone to it and not too loud. Have also heard the T1R 70r-em sparrow and that sound great as well...

There are a few aftermarket systems that add just a little to the exhaust note without being raspy and not producing drone. The ones that come to mind are the Fujisubo, HKS dual, Tanabe and from what has been said recently the Milltek. I currently have an ARK dual with Berk HFC on a MY03, no drone but it is a little on the loud side. I also have a Borla on a MY06 with a test pipe with zero drone and just a little louder than stock without any rasp.

If you do choose to replace your OEM exhaust then please research it on this forum and not Youtube, members here will give the honest truth for the most part.

I have a set of Bridgestone S-04 and I like them a lot. I go through rear tires in half the time I go through front tires. Maybe that's just me - but I think not, I think its pretty common.

I like my S04s as well. I would buy another set, or go to the Michelins.
