What is the TRUE 0-60 and 1/4 mile time for the S?
Hi guys,
I was wondering what the real 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are for an AP2 (preferably 2007-2008) S2000 are. I've checked just about every review site, and I'm getting mixed answers such as: 0-60 times Anywhere from 4.9 - 5.8 seconds. 1/4 mile times Anywhere from 13.9 - 14.3 seconds. I know it depends a lot on how they test the car, but I was looking at actual 0-60's, not a 1mph rolling start. What statistics sound the most legit, and what are the best times you guys have got off of a stock AP2? |
depends on the driver. there is no true accel numbers imo
|
4.9 seconds?? yah right. 5.5seconds is about right with a pretty decent driver. high 5's early 6sec with the average.
|
Well the majority of the figures I've seen place it at 5.7-5.8. Which seems about right.
|
so many variables... but tires play a huge role too, so depends on the tires if you're stock.
|
Too many variables ... pavement condition, temperature, humidity, tire temperature and condition, etc etc
And of course ... driver ... |
4.9? Nope. Is that a downhill?
|
ya I'd say 0-60 is upper 5's like 5.7-5.8
1/4 mile I've heard stock's getting 13.8 though with my skills i'm no where close to that. :( |
Here's a good comparison, it uses a 2005 S2000, but the numbers should be relatively comparable to the other cars in this:
http://www.roadandtrack.com/assets/downloa..._data_panel.pdf 0-60 in this case is shown as 5.4seconds, 1/4 mile in 13.9 @ 100.2mph Full Article: http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?se...9&page_number=1 Out of 10 cars, the S2000 places 5th, pretty respectable considering the cast of cars included (Viper, Vette, Boxster S, Carrera S, Elise) |
