for real? how the hell did you manage to do that? any wrecks or anything?
You're right, I made that up.

However, $12k is the KBB excellent price for a 2002 so you should be able to find that deal.

OP, where are you located?

bought january 2009, 2002 with 70K miles (came with J's racing 60RS and stock exhaust) for 10,000. hold out for longer for a 2002+, the deals are out there, just have to find the right one, do not settle.

Yeah, that is a plastic window. That sucks, I'd stay away from that one.

yeah thats what i thought. thanks for your time with helping me. it is much appreciated. the only problem is most of those are sadly out of my price range. however i did email the last link you posted. the red one with 54,000 miles was a salvage title and is already sold. i definitely have searched, every day lol. i hope to find the right deal sometime soon

Some of those are only 1-2k above your budget. You should have no problem finding a seller willing to knock 2k off $14k in this economy. If you can't negotiate then you'll have a rough time finding a deal.

I saw lots of 02/03s with 70-80k for $11k asking. You should at least hold out for one of those.
