Yes, there are differences and it depends on the year as to how many differences there are.

 

There is nothing differant besides cosmetic and color differances.

Except slighly higher compression, and the option of modulo, or basicaly factory preformance, suspentiona exhaust, and the cool bbs forged 6 spoke wheels.

jdm '04 has the much loved 2.0 engine
usdm '04 has 2.2 engine (becoming much loved!)

Basically is different, but basically the same. I mean basically I want to buy one, but I don't know basically what.

The engine has a different compression ratio (even the 00-03 F20C) The F20C remains for 04 in japan while NA got the 2.2L. The JDM cars are RHD, the have different headlight diffuser patterns and are clear. The side markers are clear. The optional Modulo package, or the VGS options. There are more colors available in Japan, and any color combo is allowed (Any interior with any exterior.)

There may be some other differences but thats basically it.

How much different could it be? Any more different, and it would be a different car.
