In the commercial where Michael Andretti (?) is trying to teach a kid how to drive in an S and in a wallpaper I just downloaded, there's something on the hood up by the windshield. Anybody know what the hell I'm talking about?

Then I think what you see on the hood near the windshield are two nozzles for the windshield washer. When you want to clean the windshield, you switch on the washer and cleansing fluid squirts out from the nozzles onto the windshield and the wipers will turn on and clean the windshield.

Most modern cars have them, but not all of them are on the hood.

 

I hope you're being a smartass and really don't think I'm that stupid. Right commercial but I'm not talking about the squirters. It's a huge bump that spans the squirters, kinda looks like a cowl induction scoop, but more rounded.

 

i think it's just the way the hood is shaped. im not sure, i'll go look at my hood when i get out of class. Im pretty sure it's not an aftermarket hood or mod to the stock hood.

oh you mean the reflection of the windshield and rear view mirror on the hood?

 

I watched the video and the only thing I see is the reflection of the windshield on the hood and it has a rounded effect! You can even see the rear view mirror in the reflection!
Did I miss something?

 

yeah, i just watched it too..and it just looks like the windshield reflection, or if anything its the way the hood is shaped and the way the light reflects off of it..

 

No, I was not being a smartass, and I didn't think you were stupid. When you've only been on this board a couple of days, I have no idea how much you know about cars. But like everyone else said, I couldn't see anything else on the hood except for the washer nozzles. Everything else seemed to be reflections or just the way the light works. Maybe you can post a picture (the wallpaper) and circle the area in question, then we can have a better idea of what you are talking about.

 

Anyone interested in helping me solve this, post your e-mail address and I'll send you a better picture. I can't figure out how to post it! It's definitely not a reflection.
