Wheeler Dealers
Anyone watch this? I never knew about it really, and had someone tell me because they got themselves a 2003 AP1/Pre facelift UK s2k...

Oh yeah, watched it twice already!
There's a big thread about it in the "Car Talk" subforum (although this is probably the right spot): https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/794...eeler-dealers/

I knew we had EPS (electronic power steering) but I had no idea that's how the steering rack operated.
Spoiler
I love the fact that the previous owner buys the car back from Wheeler Dealers at the end. I've read so many stories on here of previous members coming back and finding themselves another S2000.

They did an amazing job restoring it, like how they kept the stock look. And that imola orange is pretty cool, not too many of those around that were that way from the factory. Also glad I watched it before seeing the posting above mine.
I like how the owner said he regretted selling the car though the minute he sold it to them. Seems like that has been the case for some
people on this forum. With the repairs, servicing, and reconditioning, though, it was fair in the end, and to get a TV episode out of it.

The original owner apparently never sold it and still had the title. There's a "paperwork" clue right the very end. The show is painfully scripted including Mike's little girl laugh. Watch more than a couple of these and you can say the lines with them they're so predictable.
But I've probably seen every episode.

From the UK thread, the originally owner has listed it for sale too, he rather drive his Z4.

I watch Wheeler Dealers for years and Edd is a Outlier Mechanic. I'd want him to fix my car any day.... I always wondered when they'd get around to an S2000.
Gotta love how Mike even refers to the F20c as one of the best engines of ALL TIMES....... That is a common statement and the reason why I love my AP1...
Thanks for posing.

Yeah, he always knows all this inside info on the cars hes working on. As id he worked on them all the time. Surely it involves research ahead of filming. Who could know all that about so many different vehicles?
Its cool to see him work on something so familiar to us, to check how accurate he really is. Impressive.
