Default when will clutch die?

I'm buying an s2000 really soon. It will probably have 20-40k miles on it when I buy. I haven't driven a stick in quite a few years.

About how long on average have the s2000s been going before they need new clutch? How much on average does a new clutch cost?

Thanks!
Robert

Depends on your driving style, could be the life of the car or for 200 miles.

For clutch part prices:

$1300 approx. honda

There is a TSB on clutch replacement from Honda (they won't tell you about). I had a problem and Honda covered it. Mine was covered cause I just bought it with 20k on it need clutch at 23k.

They tried to get me to pay. I grew up riding motorcycles and using clutches. I said no...
