I almost clicked on that "buy" button, but I decided to ask and see if y'all know any other places or manufacturers where I can get a good horn from. Of course tastes differ from person to person, but I think horns of the German auto variety (BMW, Mercedes, etc.) are quite agreeable. I just don't know if their horn can be mounted on our cars.

J C Whitney has a selection, as do others on the web.

Pep boys, and I'm sure other stores, carry a line of horns which are made by an OEM. You pick the notes based on a chart of vehicle makes.

I can't remember the OEM though! Anyone??? I do know that they are of top quality.

Pep Boys and JC Whitney both have FIAMM for ~$10 each. I used one each of high and low tone disk type, which are metal not plastic, which the packages claim to be 130 db, but anyway are plenty loud. Came with mounting brackets that worked, and I used the original wiring.

Those are the ones I was thinking about. They are loud, and sound like a car should.

Mingster,

Plenty of us here have mounted Hellas in our S2Ks. I personally thing they have a tone and volume that says you mean business. You can use that when you are David on a road filled with Goliaths.

I got twin air horns from NAPA. Sound is just like a Ferrari horn.

I love the hellas. They're loud, make a good tone, and are impervious to the elements. A solid product for the money.

Mingster,
If you want BMW or Merc. horns just go to a local junkyard and pull the horn elements out of one of these cars. They can be had for ~$5.

You answered my question before I asked it

Do NAPA have a web site?
