Default Where to put hood prop rod on Carbon Fiber hood?

Just got my CF hood tonight, but noticed that there is no hole for the Hood support rod. By measuring the factory hood location, you can not put the rod in the same place on the CF hood with the vent(I have the J's ). Do I need to make a hole some where else for it and If so, where did you guys put yours? I do not want to sound clueless, but I am new the this CF stuff.

Real or Fake J's hood? The real one definetly has a place for the hood prop. It's a little smaller and needs to be dremelled out, but it's there.

i just put it where the latch is twoards the front of the hood.....it doesnt have as much clearance, but it works. My clone has a hole drilled out, but if i put it there, the hood flexes too much for my comfort.

It is interesting how people don't call it the VIS hood. At the last car show, I noticed a few folks saying that they have a J's Hood when actually they have the VIS hood. Going back on topic, if your VIS hood never came with a hole, just use the hood latch. I have a hole in my Authentic J's Hood and I use the hood latch all the time because it lets the hood rest evenly.

I'm sure the Vis has a Fiberglass back bone structure, so you can pretty much pick a spot and dremel it out to fit the hood prop
