Does driving over a few mountain passes on US50 in Nevada a few weeks ago count? Cold front moved through during the night and there was an inch and a half of snow on the S the next morning in Austin, NV. I took it nice and easy and after about a 100 miles heading east I decided to head south to LV rather then continue into Utah and more of the cold front and snow. OEM tires on her and although it was slushy in places the car handled the situation rather well.

^^ Aaron is hardcore - where are the Mt Hood pics?
As for Garret's request:
Major blizzard that day up at Mt. Hood. There is almost always a major windstorm going on up there it seems.
NikosX, I will say having a glass rear window makes all the difference for sure. Don't put yours down in the cold! You do miss out on some great driving though:
Ira, I give you a lot of credit. You valley types arent often prepared for snows like that, and you werent running winter tires like I was, right? Scary stuff!

Yep, I've run blizzacks in previous seasons and have had no problems. This year I may try to get through with all seasons but I'm not too confident with that. On the blizzacks the only time I did not drive the car was when the snow was higher then the bottom of my front bumper by more then a few inches or during this blizzard a few years back that occurred during finals week. The finals were NOT cancelled:
Overall blizzacks are great, I never got stuck on ice or snow!

blizzaks are good but the very best would be the nokian hakapeliitas... it thin that i spelled that pretty close.
the haka 5 if you want studs, and haka r if you don't. they are a bit more spendy, but they are the best snow tyres in the world... well except for the haka 7 but that doesn't come over from europe untill next year.

Yes sir. My Blizzaks and I will be daily driving it all winter. These tires are great. I handle better than most of the SUVs and AWD cars in my area. They're getting stuck on hills and I cruise right by them.
Here was me last year on my way to work.
I won't show you the video where I had my OEM tires and I got stuck in 1 inch of snow.
