Who has their S2k put up for the winter?

I bought a used toyota pickup a month ago and haven't started my S2000 since :rev:

I'll probably continue to daily drive the pickup all the time and s2k will be weekends only once it warms up.

Mine is tucked away in a heated garage with a cover over it. For now, its a '99 Ford Contour.

Mines in a heated garage also since november... 3 months is feeling like 3 years not driving the S!

Yup, my S is basically a garage queen while its cold out. Every once in awhile when its warm out, I'll take her out ... but thats it!

I have the car cover, but I haven't bothered putting it on the car.

Was originally hoping to find some sort of storage facility that I could store the car for the winter for cheap and then put my daily driver into the garage (I only have a 1 car garage). But I wasn't able to find any place that would do it for a reasonable amount of money or would let me store the car there w/o having to drain all the liquids out.

mine was under cover since somewhere near the beginning of January - almost 3 weeks - oh the pain of with drawl... yesterday it was sunny and low 40's here in the Northeast and off came the cover and out I went - took her to work & back - same thing today - oh what relief getting my little fix in.

there's still alot of snow on the sides of the roads and lots of salt residual on the roads - but screw it i've got to drive this thing or I'll be nuttier than I am when I do drive it regularly.

this coming weekend its supposed to in the mid to upper 40's both Saturday & Sunday - sounds like perfect washing weather - maybe even cruise with the top down during mid afternoon...

Mine's parked in front of the house wearing a Weathershield car cover. It's been about three weeks since she's moved.

This weekend, the temps should top 50, so the cover should come off.
Although it's hard to be away from the S for weeks at a time, it's nice to constantly rediscover just how fun this car is to drive.

You poor summer S drivers. You will never know what you are missing. My S is a daily year round driver. Came home from the airport a couple of weeks ago in about 6" of unplowed snow. S does fine with snow shoes slapped on. I couldn't imagine not driving my baby for 5 months. Who wants to drive a crappy beater??

I love my S, love to drive it, love everything about it but it is not fine china only to be used in the best weather. She is my year round baby.

BTW: It has been extremely cold here, below OF many days, and my S spends alot of time in an unheated airport parking garage and I have had NO problems starting, shifting, etc. due to the cold.

If you are going to drive in the winter you MUST have snow tires. I would recommend the hard top as well.

Got caught in a sudden snow fall on Dec 7th or so and it's been sleeping ever since. It won't come out now till at least 1st or 2nd week of March.
