thanks for the tip. I just checked mine it had well over 1 inch of slack. Someone said that it should be 1/4 inch slack on either side. Does he mean from left to right or top to bottom.

At first I thought he meant top to bottom, but mine wouldn't move if I press down on it. If i pressed up thats where all the slack was.

Anyways thanks for the tip!

you need ~1/4 slack when pushing up.

Does anybody have an actual picture of what I should be looking for? I'm not very mechanically inclined but I can do the easy stuff if I know what I'm looking for :)

Thanks!

Click on the pic to get the full size. You'll see the nuts just to the right of the rubber stopper where the metal cable ends. Adjust the nut and then tighten the other one against it.

i did this to my 2K as well as my friends 2K. And I would have to say it did make a difference in throttle response. 1st gear no bog what so ever, and I have a competition stage 4 clutch and bog use to be my best friend and 1st gear was always a PITA but now its remarkably better IMHO. good adjustment

what if there's too much slack? would that mean that when you floor it, you're not getting full throttle?

No, I don't think it means your not getting full throttle. It just means it takes longer for it to tighten and pull the tb open to full throttle.
