I dailyed my first one. Now I work from my apartment, so a lot of days I don't even go outside. I don't take it to Wal-Mart or places where people are likely to open a door into it. I don't take it to go jogging cause the jog track is only 6 miles from here and I don't want to get in it all sweaty. If I'm not going far enough for it to get good and warm, I don't drive it. I'm getting a bike ready to sell and have to ride it an hour to another town to do anything to it, so if I'm on that I'm not in the s. Other than that, I drive it. Works out to be a few times a month.

No S2K when I need to take two more passengers (wife and daughter)
No S2K in rainy and snowy days
No S2K for commuting to work in fear of thief

Please continue to baby your cars guys
when I got my 2006 back in July, I also picked up $1000 shit box... I don't daily drive the S 2000, mainly because I don't want it to sit in our intense Texas sun for 8+ hours a day, plus the risk of door dings… as winter approaches and the sun is less intense, I may start driving it to the office. I can always take it to lunch, drop it off at home (I live close to the office) and come back in the afternoon with the shit box…

27300 mile, 1 owner 2006 making me be perhaps a bit too over protective...

I live in New England (only drive her on sunny days) and my commute to work is 80 miles round trip (mpg on my 2.4 Accord trumps).

I dailied my last one for 3 years, bought a GTI as a practical daily and sold it after 18 months to get back into another S DD. My commute is 100x better in the S, top down, music up just cruising even in traffic. Even better when I time it right and I can take that cloverleaf exit with no traffic in front.

Lifes too short to drive boring cars.

Bleh. I'd rather daily something comfy & fuel efficient than something 'fun.'

There's a reason an A3 with Bang & Olufsen stereo keeps popping into my head.

I also live in New England (drive her to work every day thats not winter) and my commute to work is 80 miles round trip.

My winter car is a G37xS, with an upgraded stereo. So its not like the other option os a crappy car. The radio in the S is broken. I'm not a young guy. Yet I can't imagine driving a different car if the S is available. I even do Costco runs on the way home.

Age has a way of making you realize your days have a finite limit, and there is no sense saving something for a someday when this day is here to enjoy.

Agree... That's why my Daily is a Z06. I feel like the Corvette is a more comfortable cruiser than the S2k.

The S2k was my only car for about 3 years, and I did love it as a daily, but the vette seems better right now. The S sleeps in the garage now until nice weekends.
