Default Why is Hard Top Guy such a poor seller?

I ordered an AP2 conversion kit about a month ago and it was missing the brackets. I PM and Email Jeff about this and get no response. I call him (over 2 weeks ago) and he claims they were sent out. I have received nothing as of yet. I called him last week on either Thursday or Friday and left a message. I have still not received any return calls.

What I do not understand is how can he treat me this way? I cant sue him for such a small item but I hate to be part of the minority that receives 100% poor customer service. I know he has had tons of great feedback from the members on this site but this is just ridiculous. It is not acceptable for me to call him and email him numerous times to get what I need. One phone call should suffice.

Well at least now i can say I am not the only one as I have also experienced extremely poor customer service from hardtop guy.

After hearing a lot of positive feedback about this guy, I intended to purchase a hardtop from him but he seemed to have no interest in selling one to me. I emailed him to receive a quote on the total cost of the hardtop with shipping and never got a response.

I then called him and asked if he received my email and he said yes and that he would send out a quote right away within the hour. Well 3 days later still no emailed price quote. I tried calling one more time and left a message but my call was never returned.

I found this to be quite unacceptable, as me being the consumer having to go to such lengths to receive information from a seller. Ridiculous, it was like he didn't want my business. This is not how you treat your customers.

After receiving such poor service from hardtop guy, I went and purchased my hardtop from another vendor and got exceptional customer service throughout the whole process- the way it should be.

It still baffles me how this guy has so much credibility on this website; i have never felt so neglected as a consumer and would definitely never even consider purchasing anything from him ever again.

poor customer service does not deserve my business.

Hmmm...so the people complaining are "guests" and people claiming no problems are "members" maybe thats the key???

"members" have lower expectations?

Well, I never had a negative (or positive) experience with HTG but what I know is that when you do "automatic orders" everything use to work fine.. but when you have *questions* and expect *answers* from a human being.. then things are not always that smooth with *many* online merchants.

Wow are we talking about the same person here?
The Jeff I know has been real helpful in everyway.
I ordered my hardtop in January and received the top before the promised date.
He even sent me the installation hardwares in advance so that I could have the hardwares pre-installed.
I contacted him thru PM and he ALWAYS responded within a few hours.
I ordered a product and got the package the following day.

Maybe he was sick or something
