this is my third day in mountain view, and it looks like i'm going to be moving here soon. but i'm having s2k withdraw!!! sure, riding around in my friend's Z8 is cool, but i want my 9k...

Now look at them yo-yo's that's the way you do it
You rev the engine up to 9k
That ain't speedin' that's the way you do it
VTEC for nothin' in an s2k
Now that ain't speedin' that's the way you do it
Lemme tell ya Soichiro ain't dumb
Maybe get a blister on your start button finger
Maybe get a blister on your thumb

We gotta rev up that little engine
high speed camshaft going 9k
We gotta move those potenzas
We gotta move that s2k

See the little roadster with the mugen and the xenon
Yeah buddy that's HID
That little roadster got a 9k redline
That little roadster'll beat anything

We gotta rev up that little engine
high speed camshaft going 9k
We gotta burn those rear tires
We gotta move that s2k

I shoulda learned to heel-toe brake
I shoulda learned to drive stick shift
Look at that mama, she got it stickin' in the camera
man we could have some fun
and she's up there, what's that? vtec noises?
bangin' on the pistons like a chimpanzee
that ain't workin' that's the way you do it
get your vtec for nothin' get your chicks for free

We gotta rev up that little engine
high speed camshaft going 9k
We gotta burn those rear tires
We gotta move that s2k, Lord

Now that ain't workin' that's the way you do it
You rev the engine up to 9 k
That ain't workin' that's the way you do it
VTEC for nothin' in an s2k
VTEC for nothin' in an s2k
That ain't workin' that's the way you do it
VTEC for nothin' in an s2k

sorry for the outburst guys :)

z8? did i see you on 237 the other day? i was the black stook that stayed with you till 101...?

josh3io 11-02-2000 10:11 AM

it might have been my friend w/o me, i wish i coulda seen a stook tho!

here's pictures of the Z8, though ppl might like to see:
http://hackforfood.com/cgi-bin/z8.pl

i'm the guy with the pez shirt and flip flops, we just finished washing the car. ain't she pretty?

although it's a lot torqier and faster than s2k, it's much bigger and feels a lot heavier from a passenger's perspective. i really miss the screaming vtec engine most, this ne has a low growl instead of a scream.

another neat feature is the power roof, you just push the button and the roof closes almost all the way, then pull down with your hand and power latches grab the car and lock itself down!!!

oh and in the spirit of greg, in the picture of the side 'gills' you can see the reflection of a dumpster ;) btw the 'gills' light up as the car's sidemarkers at night, very cool.

Why are you moving to Mountain View?

Hey Josh, does the Z8 have a plastic rear window? For a price like that, I'd want a retracting hardtop, ala the SLK. The Z8's nice, but very overpriced...I'd rather have the M5...same engine, much lower price.

josh3io 11-02-2000 12:21 PM

yes it does have a plastic rear window AND it folds. however the shelf is carpeted, and the window stays very very clear. the hardtop comes with the car, but isn't powered. it mounts over top of the soft top.

i'm going to be working here since i don't work in DC anymore.

about the M5, you're right about price vs. performance. but damn, the Z8 is AWESOME! i guess the price difference is in it being a roadster.

Where are you going to be working? What kind of work do you do? There are a few stook in mountain view...maybe we can give you a little shot of good 'ol VTEC...

:)
