Is it worth it to get the Toda flywheel w/o getting a new clutch?

I'm getting the 1-2 grind fixed soon and I plan to have the Toda flywheel installed at the sametime, too. I was just wondering do I really need a new aftermarket clutch for the Toda flywheel? What are my choices in terms of aftermarket clutches besides Spoon and Mugen? To Toda flywheel owners, is it just a direct replacement or is it so light to the point where you have to add more weight? Thanks!

Well I did mine with a mugen clutch because
1- If they have to lower the tranny allready, why no go with the upgrade allready.
2- new flywheel, new clutch plate, new clutch disc and bearing. These parts all work together so mitght as well go all together.
3- JUST FOR FUN
What I can tell you is that is a great inprovement. You will love the way the car feels at low RPM.

I would go, at least, for a new stock clutch. I installed the Toda flywheel with a new stock clutch and feels better than the one that came with the car.
Never the less, the flywheel upgrade alone is worth it and you will love the response of the car below VTEC.

Honda Guy read this link about a new JUN flywheel group buy which is probably going to be better than the Toda flywheel.

Honda Guy,
I'd recommend the ACT clutch while your at it. They have recently developed an application for the S2000. If you dont go with ACT, I'd at the least do the Mugen pressure plate as the stock unit leaves a lot to be desired.
I'm working on a group buy for the ACT clutch that should be ready to begin within roughly two weeks, however if you need something faster I'll be able to get you one earlier for a bit more money. Email me for details.

Also, regarding the JUN flywheel project...I'd recommend also checking the parts counter for the other thread on the group buy. (that thread kept on topic, while the showroom thread seems to have scared everyone off with Beig's posts and a lot of other posts on semi-off topic issues).
