Makes me that much more proud of our lil Honda that it still holds its own against todays offerings. Granted the s is not all about straight line performance. The s can hang its hat on more then stellar handling, beautiful Timeless looks, top tier transmission, fantastic engine and a great following/community. Did I miss anything?

I think we are lighter and I know we have more HP so this is about right.

Actually the BRZ is lighter, most S2000's are a around 2850# and the brz is just under 2800# (2780# iirc), but we do have about 40 more HP, and about the same torque, the BRZ has a fatter torque curve, so thats why it got off the line faster.

 

Cool to see with a new model that the honda still rocks after so many years.

It would have been pretty sad if the s2k did lose considering the weights are almost the same and the s2k has a 40hp advantage. I would be more interested to see the s2k race a brz around a track
