Default Yellow/foggy headlights and the S2k

I'm in the market for an S2k. I live in Florida, and the one thing I hate about cars here is the yellow fog that accumulates as early as a few years. It may happen in other regions, but I notice it the most here. On my previous car (02 SE-R) this began to show up after about 3 years, and I cleaned the headlights very often, and also used protectants recommended by various enthusiasts. It was frustrating to say the least

What I notice about the S2k is that I never see any with this problem! Is there something special about the headlights on this car? I can def. say it's a huge plus. I mean something that little can mean a lot, especially when I'm looking for used cars.

Honda headlights resist oxidizing much better than Nissan headlights but they will still oxidize if you keep your car outdoors. My best solution is to hand buff the headlight once every car wash even if it looks perfectly clean.

Most S2000 owners take very good care of their car. This car probably has the highest percentage of owner to enthusiasts. I don't see many that aren't owned by an enthusiast.

Wouldn't buffing the headlights often make it haze faster due to the UV resistance coating getting peeled off? Someone correct me if I'm wrong ...

From my previous experience, unless you open up your headlights and don't seal them correctly, this shouldn't happen to S2000 headlights. The difference between S2000 headlights and your Sentra headlights are that the S2k's is made of GLASS, and the Sentra's is made of plastic...correct? I used to own a 240sx and it would go yellow all the time...looked real nasty
Last time I checked, the S2000 headlights were plastic.

I know they are made of polycarbonate but i really dont know if they have a UV coating. I doubt it though, its probably just the typical S2Ki heresy.

Okay... I should be fine then, because I was in the practice of applying plasticX every time I washed my last car (although they still went to sh*t).

Also, the haze I'm talking about is on the outside of the headlight, although it is usually mistaken to be on the inside.

the one car from Florida that's here in Mid-A has (or maybe he fixed it) VERY yellowed/foggy headlights.
