My policy includes both my S2000 and my Accord Coupe EXVL. . .

Believe it or not, my S2000 is only $48 dollars more every six months than my Accord Coupe.

Either way, I pay $798 every six months for both cars. . .I also have my house on the policy, so that helps!

So, $447 for the S2000. . .with NO tickets or accidents. . .knock on wood!

I'm 26 (getting old) and my S2000 is running me $1,674/year. A few notes: It's on my mother's policy as HER second car (her Acura is her primary car), my Prelude Si is still MY primary ride at $1,550/year. . .

I have no points, my insurance status is considered to be in the "safest" tier, but I do live in Northern New Jersey (Insurance gouging R' Us)

My insurance comes to about just under $900 for the whole year with a $250 deductible, complete coverage on all three cars: '00 Honda S2000, '94 Honda Prelude Si 4ws (which they know is modded), and '99 Honda Accord EX 4-cyl automatic.

The key to my insurance being so low is that all my cars are complete coverage (no weekend cars, so all cars get about equal use), my fiance is also under my coverage (alongside with her own coverage on her '98 Honda Civic LX), the last accident/ticket on my record was from '96, and being completely honest with my insurace agent.

It also helps that I live in the suburbs (in Schaumburg, IL), my cars are garaged, I am apart of multiple auto clubs that allow for insurance discount, I have gone through driving school sponsored by SCCA, and I've stayed with one insurance company since I've gotten my own coverage. I've been able to get quotes from other companies and leverage those quotes to lower my cost at my present insurance company.

The primary reason I'm not paying $3000 or more is because the S is considered a weekend car (limited mileage, e.g. limited risk). . .

I've estimated that the insurance on the S (or any other new sporty/sports car) as a daily driver under my name would be easily $3500. . .

This made keeping the Prelude a no brainer. . .
