Hello,

Just about a week ago I noticed my s2000 started to smell like burnt oil. I checked under the hood and there was no smell from there. I walked to the back of the car and it smelled a lot like burnt oil near the wheels.

What could this possibly be? The car doesn't rub so I can't be burnt rubber I dont think. The brakes have plenty life left.

Any suggestions or opinions?

IME, burnt oil smells a lot different than burnt brake pads. How is your engine oil consumption?

Maybe, it's a bearing seal leak?

Thanks for the response. All fluid levels are fine. I'll have the bearings checked out.

Have you changed any parts exhaust wise?
