There isn't a metal screen, in the oil line to the turbo unit? To block large particles and sediment? Kinda strange.

The turbo oil return is necessarily unobstructed. The feed line receives filtered engine oil and doesn't need its own screen, and the drain/return line needs to flow freely unless you want an oil-burning turbo. It's not an issue in most applications... Because most turbos don't turn their bearings to sand and shit the pieces into the engine.

wow, sorry to see OP.
regarding SAPs, Amsoil European oil comes in 3 or 4 different viscosities and one of those is a 5w-40. i run it in my bmw wagon. but i run 0w-30 signature series in the s2000. then again, i don't track my car. highest oil temps i have seen in august while driving spiritedly was 260 something F.
