My Engine Management Light EML came on.
i changed the spark plugs and coils and then it came on again after a week so I replaced the rocker cover gasket and seals and engine oil flush. Which helped for a few days came back on....
i got new seals for the vtec solenoid helped for a week came on again.
i change the coils and spark plugs back to originals Denso and NGK and did a timing adjustment. The 02 sensor was also loose on the cat which was tightened up.
now it’s worse than before cuts out at 7000rpm
things I Havnt done
Coolant flush
map and knock sensor
changing the fuel injectors.
can anyone help ? I’m annoyed as hell

No
i noticed the map sensor has been replaced before. The car doesn’t cut out all the time.... I keep getting engine management light which comes on saying the coils are faulty.
So I’ve had the following work done.
Valve adjustment
Rocket cover gasket replaced
New spark plugs and coils - twice
On the S2000 forums, there could be a number of issues wrong, fuel injectors, cable for the plugs, bent valves, valve seats.
to save cost I’m going to do a compression test and a leakdown. But it’s weird. I’ll upload a video of the noise!!!!!

if it doesn't do it all the time... you sure your car is warmed up?
have you tested your vtec oil pressure switch?

I’ll try it!!
i’ve Placed new seals in the VTEC solenoid. No I haven’t replaced the switch!!! How do you test it? Or should I just buy a new one!! As they’re fairly cheap but I keep adding cost to it.
I can hear a knocking noise from it. I was sure I recurved the TCT, might have to relook at that too
i believed I’ve uploaded some videos

EML - cylinders misfire
If I replace the oil switch,
Is the switch linked to misfires??? I don’t think it is....

What do your fuel trims look like? You've done sparks and coils. Have you cleaned the injectors?
Its sounding more and more like a dying primary 02 sensor. Use that scan tool and post up your fuel trims

hello i have a 05 s2000 with turbo, I change my engine (reason: new engine) except accesories of the engine, now im facing a problem that when im pulling the car at the dyno, because im going to use a new map (new turbo) I have a cut at 7,900 at the first pull, we repeat with the pulls and he cuts on 7.500 and successively until we stop at 7,300 aprox.
I changed already
Spark plug gap .22
changed coils
new coils plugs
injectores cleaned
map sensor is tied with a zip.
Any help? Before I changed the engine my old turbo blows off, but I never faced this problem when I was using the car with the old engine. Any bad suggested connection that I made?
