My exhaust popping issue in the video was a partially-failing coil pack (given I had clean injectors and a valve adjustment done for troubleshooting).

And the rest was normal condensation, although the s2000 has left soot on my garage floor forever: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-fo...tartup-887481/

I assume you replaced all coil packs for good measure? When you had the failing coil pack did you have any driveability issues (misfires) at any level of throttle, in VTEC, up to red line, etc?

Could be the tight valves previous have burned the valve? Verify VA? Is the car using oil?

I typically get 100-150k minimum out of coil packs on my Hondas before I see a CEL for a misfire, and the rest of mine were OK. I replaced just the one that was acting up since the others probably had less than 25-50k on them.

Besides the puff puffs at idle, I had a random jerk/shudder/shake at idle (red lights, stop lights, etc.), and there was a minor lag at lower RPMs when going into WOT (felt exactly like heat soak). Everything went away after the coil pack got replaced. But no CEL or other proof of misfires. Go figure. I kept the redline runs down during this time due to paranoia.

With symptoms like those I would have been extra cautious too. Mine doesn't exhibit any of the above except for, now and then a puff during idle. That's why I asked about your coils because I have been thinking that maybe one or more of mine could be slowly phasing out...their miles are just over 100k though.
