2 questions: Storing of Airbags and SRS unit
1)
I read the page in the helms about it, they just basicly say keep them air bag up, away from heat, chemicals, etc.
Can I put them in a bag or do them need to be in open air for any reason?
Anything else I should know about storing them?
2) Since I will have no stock seat belt retactors or airbags do I need to leave the SRS unit in? I am not sure if the ECU expects it to be there.

"Keep away from heat?" Don't know about anybody else but after sitting out in the sun all day in the summer, the interior of my car can get well over 130 degrees.
The airbag modules are self contained units. The airbag itself is just a plastic bag that's folded really tight with talcum powder sprinkled into all the folds to keep the surfaces from sticking when it deploys. I'd just put them in a sealed black (dark) plastic bag in a cool dry place. You may get a SRS light. If that happens, pull the SRS fuse(s). Fuses 1 & 2 under the dash. Unfortunately, fuse #2 is also for your fuel pump and injectors.

yeah I'm gonna get lots of lights on my gauge cluster, but sinces it's out the the dash, it's quite easy to remove the led if I wanted to.

while i was in abs/airbag classes, i put a resistance in the airbag plug.... can't remember exactly but i think it was something like 2 ohms. (and they were like 20cents for 5 at local electronics store).. that way the airbag light doesn't come on
for storage, i wouldn't recommend putting them in a plastic bag, the rubbing of the plastic bag could have static build up, though airbag plugs have a shunt that shorts the 2 wires for safety when airbags are unplugged (we're never careful enough !).
as for transportation, you should hold it with your arms straight at chest height, arms stretched and the airbag should be facing the direction in which you are going (in a case of airbag blowout, it'll go in the other direction instead of exploding towards your body)
