rear axle nut s2ki retorque. For reference- remove axle nut after unstaking them. Thin layer of grease on the face of the nut- returque to factory spec, then go 45-60 degrees more. restake the nut. THIS will save your rear bearings.

What did the dealer put in the differential? S2000 requires hypoid gear oil (GL5 or GL6) and the differential oil for front-wheel drive Hondas is entirely different. Wrong lube will ruin your differential and it appears some Honda dealers haven't a clue about this although a couple may. Seriously, determine what's in there.

I verified that the correct fluid was put in the car. They look everything up in their database before anything is touched. Good folks and it’s a longstanding high-rated dealership. Good advice. Thank you

Nope. I'd save my $$ OP.

The tires were replaced by the dealership, although they aren’t quality. I’m looking for refurbished OEM V1 or V3 (preferably CR) rims and will put good rubber on then. Most of the maintenance is just needed due to age. Fluids only have a shelf life for so long. I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Lubricating the seals is a good idea and I hadn’t thought of that, so thanks for bringing it up. It’ll never see rain unless I’m caught in it but def a good call.

Pics? I only have a few I downloaded from the dealer but I’ll post a few of them. Interior is very good. A few wrinkles in the leather on the bolsters but zero cracks and it’s nice and firm. Thankfully I’m tall enough to sit over it when getting out or in. I’m rather OCD and that’s a concern for me. I’ve already treated the seats and will do so again in a week or so. It deepened the color dramatically, which tells me it was thirsty. The pic is before I got hold of it. I did replace the radio door already but I’m doing my best to keep it all OEM and I’m hanging on to all replaced parts

Very nice! May you have many miles of fun!

I am sure they are well intentioned - but - I would insist that they tell you what they put in that dif. It is a very common mistake even at good dealers.

Yes quite clean and a great colour combo too! I see it has the CR radio door.

Thanks. I added the CR door and some black Euro mats to break up the blue a bit. Looks much better
