It's really that easy. Take out the offending delay valve, reassemble and bleed the hydraulic system. Less $$ than buying a 00-03 cylinder.

When bleeding the system can I re-use the fluid or is that a No-No?

Just getting my notes together before the mod. Thanks.

Don't ever re-use brake fluid. Always use new fluid from a sealed container.
The old fluid will be contaminated with moisture, It's just not worth recycling.

..or dirt, but the recommendation is sound - it is false economy to even consider using the old fluid! I generally do not even use brake fluid from a well sealed, but previously opened, bottle, to do brakes or the clutch cylinder. Maybe it is wasteful and paranoid, but the cost is miniscule compared to a premature brake failure, and the safety risk and cost it offers.

Got it........ not to be nit picky cause I think I understand that when your talking about "BRAKE" fluid you mean for ALL fluids to include the "CLUTCH" fluid. Correct me if I missunderstood.

Thanks for the information.

Brake fluid is also used in the Clutch hydraulic system.

Excellent thread. My friends EVO8 also has a delay valve that we removed for better clutch action. I've wondered if this was possible on an s2000 ... guess you've answered my question.
