Well here it is almost August, and I've been running my 5-lb Shorai 36AH LiFePO4 battery in my S2000 since late June; thought I'd check in with a quick update. Not much to say, just that it cranks the car to start instantly, and runs electrical accessories with engine off just fine - not that I've done it for very long periods yet. Maybe at some point I'll just play the car's radio for a while and see how long it takes to discharge the battery - LOL !

Anybody who's getting one of these and wants the post terminal adapters, just submit a message to customer support on the BatteryStuff.com website. Steve there helped me, answered all my questions and gave me a link to their post terminal kit. But having forgotten to order that, I found it was ridiculously easy to just squish the cable terminal ends flat and fasten them to the L-brackets (that came with the battery) using 6mm bolts (10mm socket) slightly longer than the ones supplied.

How often do you drive the car? Whats the longest it has sat so far?

It's out of stock right now. I was asking Shorai about the warranty...

If you use the battery for automotive applications, there is no warranty.

So, don't tell them you use it for a car.

Might still buy it anyway.

On backorder from batterystuff.com.

I've had my radio on with the volume at ~20 for several one hour periods, and not had a problem starting the car afterwards.

I have a smaller capacity battery than the OP.

Sorry for the late reply - I haven't been on the forum in a while. My Shorai battery is still working fine, better than the oem one ever was. I run the top up & down and the radio with the engine off, no problem, but haven't done this for more than ~ 5 minutes, so can't really say how long it would take to drain it. I drive the car almost every day, except when I go away to visit my older daughter & family, when it sits home for 7 - 10 days. No problem so far. Still loving it!

Thanks for the regular updates, it's definitely helpful to hear how it's holding up - I think I'm going to go with this as well in another year or so once I've finished doing higher priority mods

Granted it's not an S2K, or even a car for that matter. But I have been running a Shorai battery in my 2007 Aprilia Tuono 1000R since March with no issues whatsoever (sometimes with several weeks between starts). Damn thing weighs 2lbs, that's 6.54lbs less than the stock battery on that bike! I would try one on my S2k if my current battery needed to be replaced (could def use the weight savings up front with the Vortech SC kit!)

Sorry to bring up an old thread but this is too good of information to let sit. Looking into this 24A battery tomorrow.
