70mm Berk HFC with 60mm J's Racing Exhaust
Hello,
I wanted to see what you guys think. I got a 70mm Berk HFC cat for a steal and than found a 60mm J's Racing 60 RS Ti Exhaust for a good price. I was wondering if the diameter difference of the two is bad since they do not match.
I do have the OEM cat I can put back on if needed.

The step down where the two connect will create some restriction/turbulence in the exhaust flow. You could always trade/sell the 70mm hfc for a matching diameter one.

Thank you, that is what I was thinking.

I'm convinced the 63.5mm Berk HFC is a better match for my (and your) system. Exhaust header is a nominal 57'' inside diameter exit so there's a smaller jump in diameter. Time slips and dyno runs with the OEM cat, 70mm,and then with a 63.5mm would give us some data but few of us have the time or access to do this.

I just asked my friend if he wanted to buy my 70mm HFC and he said yes. I am putting the OEM cat back on and ordering the 63 Berk HFC. I think that is the right move.

Maybe we're both right? Only source I can find on the S2000 header diameter is 2.250" which translates to 57.15mm. Listing Outside, not Inside Diameters of exhaust piping seems common. If this is the Outside Diameter and the pipe is 16 gauge steel the Inside Diameter (ID) would be 54mm. (57.15mm minus 3.175mm equals 53.975mm)
If Rockin S2K could measure the OD and ID of the pipes he has it will answer some of my questions.

I have posted this a few times before trying to correct your misinformation so I hope it got through this time.
The outside diameter on the collector is ~65mm, so there is no need to speculate further
