I accidentally shifted from 6e to 2e at 80mhp 130km/h (AP1)

There was a truck right behind me and I wanted to pull away
Lucky I did not spin and the truck driver behind me was not sleeping...

I never hit the red line so fast

Not bashing you, but how did you even manage to shift from 6th to 2nd?

I'm wondering about this too... both 6th and 2nd are on the bottom of the shift pattern... what gear did you intend to shift to? You sound happy that you caused a mechanical overrev?! This is terrible on both your engine and transmission and I wouldn't be surprised if you notice some issues soon as a result.

One would think he tried to go from 6th to 4th, which would be a common move cruising at 80 if you wanted to pass someone...

It is odd though how he seems excited that he did that....

Down-shifting into 3rd would be more ideal at that speed in an ap1.

Yeah 80 in 3rd almost redline... and not to mention 2nd gear on this car is very small

Even if you don't overrev, skip shifting is no bueno with the s2k transmission
