AC not working. NO WIND AT ALL
 

Need you guys help. When I turned on my car today, the AC does not work suddenly. So the problem is.. even when I turn on the switch of the fan or when I click the AC button, no wind is coming out, and of course, no AC at all. I think it's the problem of the fuse, which fuse should I replace? If you think fuse is the problem, which one is it?

Try checking fuse #58 or #20?

Thanks! I will try to change a new fuse for sure. If it still does not work, I think I might have to replace the AC compressor and clutch...

Wait, if no air is blowing from the vents, that is simply the fan not turning. That has nothing to do with the compressor or its clutch pully.

No. There is no air, no fan blowing from the vents. What kind of problem is that? how can I fix that?

Check fuse number 56, 40A blower motor.

Okay! I will do. Probably I will check all the fuse 20A and above. I will keep you guys updated after I changed the fuse. Hopefully it's only the problem of the fuse. If not, it would be a lot complicated.

The heating and AC system is pretty simple. There is a radiator that makes heat, and a fan blows air over it and that air goes through vents into the cabin. There is also a sort of AC radiator that makes cold, and the same fan blows air over it, and that air goes through the same vents into the cabin.

The heat radiator gets heat from the engine coolant (antifreeze and water). The AC radiator, called an evaporator, gets its cold from compressing, then uncompressing, a gas.

So if heat works, fan works, but AC blows warm air, then AC components like compressor, the gas pressure, etc are where you look. The cold radiator has no coldness!

For your issie, if the fan fuse doesn't fix it, it could be:

1. A bad fan motor
2. Something stuck in the fan, jamming it
3. An electrical problem that causes the fuse to keep blowing (so your new fuse might go bad right away)

You can usually tell if a fuse is bad looking at it. The wire inside will be broken. But the correct way to tell is using a meter. We'd call it a DVM, or digital volt meter. You ise the Ohms scale and check to see if electricity will flow through the fuse or not (0 or near 0 ohms on the meter).

So I have replaced fuse No. 20 (7.5A) in the under-dash fuse box and the No 58 (20A) and No 56 (40A) in the engine bay fuse box. It still does not fix the problem. So right now, I am thinking it might be the fan motor actually blown off. Any link of buying a new fan motor online? And what is the part no.?
