ACT Clutch disc with OEM PP

Has anyone tried installing the ACT clutch DISC with the OEM pressure plate? I know it's totally backwards of the FI guys who install the reverse (ACT PP with OEM disc), just wanted to see if anyone has tried it for whatever reason and can chip in their experience. Car is totally stock, with stock power - no need for a beefier clutch.
Reason I ask is because I have a spare ACT clutch disc lying around (less than 5k miles), and about to do the clutch job, but if the ACT clutch works just as well as OEM with the OEM PP, I figured I might as well install that instead of buying a brand new OEM disc.

Clutch buzz is likely with the ACT disc. It will work.

Thanks for the tip. Figured I may run a diagnostic question by you. I can tell the clutch is going out because it struggles lugging up on hill starts and engagement point is nearly at the top of the pedal when releasing. I am also however hearing a faint rattle from 3-5k RPM, ONLY when the car is in gear and under load. No rattle when revving in neutral. Thought it could be either just related to the clutch going out, or TOB. Any thoughts?

What year is your car? Are you still on the original clutch setup or aftermarket (and if aftermarket what is it?)
Also are your clutch hydraulics in good order?

We will be doing this clutch change on a friend's car. Year is 01, original clutch on 180k miles, so not surprising that it needs to be changed. To be honest I'm quite impressed he stretched the life of the clutch that far out. But now it struggles to climb hills, and we're getting that light rattling. All clutch hydraulics checked out upon inspection.

I would stick to the OEM disc, a buddy's ACT disc failed in under 10k, it also buzzed a ton
