Default Alternator rectifier no longer available from Honda

I have been trying to order a rectifier assembly (http://www.hondapartscheap.com/honda...rectifier-assy) from Honda for awhile now with no luck. I have been told this part is backordered with no current release date at this time.

Any ideas how I can get ahold of this part? I am having the dash flickering issue and it seems that is is the way to get it fixed.

Any ideas? Am I just going to have to replace the alternator?

Thanks

Looks like ordering a remanufactured alternator might be the best option? (http://www.hondapartscheap.com/honda...40-9762219-924)

Why not just get one from autozone/advance auto? Typically they're re-cored DENSO models anyways (OEM). Alternator has a pretty simply job in any automobile, not really a reason to be a "die hard OEM" type of part in my opinion.

Even if it was Honda making the part, and not some off the shelf Denso alternator, I still can't in my right mind justify spending $800 for a brand new one. You can get a remanned one from any auto parts store with at least a 3 year warranty for less than 1/4 of that price.

It's for the entire alternator, the other price was just the rectifier.

For others asking about the $800 brand new alternator, yes I am aware of that, the remanufactured one from Honda is $295 and then you can send them back your old one for a $50 core charge.

Just go to your local NAPA or whatever and ask for a rectifier. They may very well have one.
