Default Angled engine?....

I have a question. Why is the S2000's engine at an angle? Does it get some kind of performance benefits this way?

I read it was tilted to provide a steeply raked hood.

Also allows more room for the intake runners.

It allows for a lower hood line.

Chrysler used a slant-six for years. It leaned so much it makes an S2k's engine look upright.
