Wrong....balance is achieved by setting the engine behind the front axle line.
Engine angle is needed for packaging. Its engine angle is required to clear the low hood profile.

My Acura Vigor is the same way...as well as many inline BMWs

That would be engine balance. not weight distribution.
If memory serves Vigor is a 5 cyl? Balance my friend, Balance

No no no.. you guys are all wrong.

The honda engineers didn't notice the driver side tires were flat when they were installing the engine mounts.

Balance has nothing to do with it. The tilted engine is done only to achieve a low hood line.

If you think the S's engine is tilted you ought to see how they install the S engine in the new "R" model of the Ultralite.

He leans it WAY over!! It makes for an interesting shifter. Had to heat it and bend it way over.

While we had the heads off we were looking at the oil drains and since it drains to the right side just leaned the engine way over.

Had to change the angle of the oil pick up, but that wasn't a huge issue.

Now the weight is lower in the car and more towards the passenger side which makes weight more even side to side.

If our engines sat straight up and down, they would have needed one of these:
