Another satisfied customer with Billman

I took my car to Billman250 today for the "Once Over". I bought it last year with only 25K miles on it and I wanted to make sure it was ready to last a long time. Bill was outstanding, it was fun to chat with him and hang out with him. Bill showed me everything and only did things that needed to be done, he did not try to push things, actually just the opposite. He was very professional and personal, he also installed my new Steering Wheel and Shifter boot for me, both came out fantastic. The car absolutely shifts better now, I highly recommend Bill if you are anywhere within driving distance.

Thank you Bill, I will be back every year for my yearly maintenance!!!

What all did you get done? And what do you feel helped improve the shifting smoothness?

Provided the car does not have a rusted transmission input spline, clutch adjustment and clutch fluid have the most effect on shifting. Find the DIY video by Soviet for proper proceedure.

Second to that is transmission fluid. Combined, they are paramount.

Way at the bottom of the cures list is greasing the shifter. To this day, I have never needed to pull a single shifter and grease it to improve shifting. Anyone who does is only masking another problem.

Bill answered what made it feel better. Prior to his service 1-2 shifts and sometimes 2-3 shifts were a little notchy, I had to do it slower then I wanted or it felt like it might grind (If that makes sense). Now it is smooth no matter how fast I shift.

I had his full “Once Over” done, a few things weren’t needed, but he checks everything to make sure.

Here’s what I’ve planned: Oil change w/ Amsoil & oem filter, trans flush Honda mtf, coolant flush w/ Honda type2, brake fluid flush w/ ATE 200, new oem air filter, new cabin filter, new brake pads & rotors (any recommendation?), new OEM NGK plugs, Billman TCT, fresh tires once I find ap2 wheels.....anything else I should consider?

Will work it out via PM....

If you don’t mind, I’d like to know what else you recommend, Billman250. I’m just about to turn 100K miles the next time I take it out. I want mine to last for a very long time.
