if im not mistaken, the reason people were using GM syncromech is worn trannys was because it had 'friction modifier' in it. from what i understand, the current formula of GMSM does not have this anymore and is not any better than running plain old honda MTF. is this correct?

You didn't happen to recently purchase this car from a dealership called "Exotic Motors", did you? Just curious...

Also try cleaning/lubing the slave under the car, and pull the fork out and grease/clean that as well. Make sure the clutch is adjusted properly (there are 2 adjustments I believe) 31k I find it hard to believe its from wear.

Let me ask you, does the shifter go into gear on a cold car?

Yeah, the shifter goes into gear when the car is cold, no problems.

do you think its an issue of your clutch not full disengaging? how much play in your pedal, make sure the mat is not getting all bunched up as well

The clutch pedal is adjusted properly, I made sure that it wasn't the issue. Even so I doubt it's the clutch because I have no problem putting it in 1st, 5th, 6th and reverse.

LOL, I actually tried double clutch up-shifting and it made no difference. I'm just confused because once the tranny is warmed up or after driving for a while the shifting becomes smoother even though I'm using Honda MTF.
