Any Hope for my Clutch at 106k
Withing the past couple of weeks, Ive noticed that my car has had some issues engaging correctly when I pressed down on the clutch. It seems little by little that the engagement point was getting higher and higher and withing the past two days, has gotten noticibly worse. I tried bleeding out the clutch but it seems as it didn't do much. I know there is a way to adjust the clutch height but its not really recommended. Would this help my clutch issue. The car has 106k miles and the clutch has never slipped. I would like to prolong it as long as possible . Any advise greatly appreciated.
Clarification: When you say your engagement point is getting higher and higher, are you implying that you have to press the clutch pedal further down than before to disengage the clutch? If that's the case, you are correct to try bleeding the clutch to try to eliminate the problem.
If you aren't getting any clutch slippage when engaging your clutch (i.e. - letting your foot off the pedal), then it is unlikely the problem has anything to do with your clutch or pressure plate.
If you have 106K on your original clutch, you're doing a great job. If you haven't replaced all of the clutch fluid, you're way past due. Remember, clutch fluid is hygroscopic, so it could have picked up enough water to vaporize in the heat, causing your symptoms.
There is a possibility that either your master or slave cylinders has gone bad, and is bypassing.

Yes thats correct. I have to press the clutch further down before it engages. Most of the time now all the way to the floor before it engages. I bleed my clutch yesterday and it didn't help much unless there is something else I can try regarding bleeding the clutch.
I had the slave cylinder replaced at 68k miles since it was leaking.
When performing the clutch bleed yesterday, I unscrewed the slave nut which has the rubber piece at the end and let the clutch bleed out. Flushed it a couple of times. After, bleed it out to get all the air out.
