Default Anybody have any ideas?

So, I did my driver side wheel bearing this weekend. I couldn't get the control arm joint to pop, and I was already in need of a fresh alignment, so I just pulled the arm off the car. No problems, got everything put back together and limped it by my alignment shop today to get a nice alignment. While I was there, they pointed out that one of the dams on the front side of the control arm mount had been bent (when the drunk garage mechanic torqued the bolt down, the cam pushed the dam down so it's almost flat), but they said once they lock the alignment in, it'll probably hold.

It didn't. The alignment fell out after about 30 minutes of driving. They said the best way to fix it would be to get a welder to bend the dam back up and put a little weld right behind it for support. Problem is, that'll be damn tough if the car's not on a lift.

Ideas? I'm thinking: 1. I'm never touching a wrench again and 2. I'll just get some random mechanic to bend it/weld it... but I have no idea how to find one that will be willing to do so around here.

I'm hoping this is a dream and it'll all be okay when I wake up tomorrow. Try saving yourself $200 and end up spending $400. Stupid.

At the very least, here's a post to make fun of!!!!

Signed,

Drunk Garage Mechanic

PS, if I could turn this into an upgrade opportunity, that'd be great.
