Default AP1 dash lights at full brightness, save setting?

Is there a way to keep the dash lights at full brightness all the time?

I usually drive with my headlights on, including during the day, and it's annoying to snake my hand back to the cluster and hold the little "+" button for two seconds every single time.

Not sure but there could be. I'd suggest looking up the pinout of your cluster and look for some wires that could be related, like a low beam signal or dash illumination wire. See what happens if you unpin one of those for example.
