Ap2 front bumper support beam on Ap1?

I did a Ap2 conversion about a year and a half ago, I swapped out the Ap1 bumper and one headlight for the Ap2's. Finally, I am getting the matching Ap2 headlight and I wanted to take care of the front bumper support beam before I have any damage. I found someone selling the Ap2 support beam and would rather swap it out, then cutting the Ap1. Also what size bolts are used to remove it. Thanx S2ki.

The bolts holding the ap1 beam will be reused when you install the ap2 beam. So what is the thread really about?

Read the title of the thread.

just take off the bumper and find out? i take off my bumper in less than 3 mins. but i bet that it would be 17 or larger.

They are 8mm bolts with 14mm heads

you could probably just hammer the corners a little.

My AP1 has an AP2 bumper, and it went on with no modifications at all. I didn't even have to do anything to the bar, either.

I do also. Like I said, I'm changing out one of my headlights and that would be the perfect time to address the front bumper support beam. I know most people just cut it slightly or hammered the corners, but I got a decent price on a AP2 support beam. I was really just seeing if it bolted up to the AP1 with no problems. Ya never know. The AP2 tail lights on a AP1, you would think they are plug and play, but they are not.

It bolts up no problem at all. That is how I did mine. It is a straight up part swap.

It will bolt up no problem, but right under the headlight, the corners of the ap1 beam will hit the bumper causing on OEM paint, spider cracks through the clear coat. on non oem paint it will flake the paint right off!
