ap2 trans on old f series engine
hey everyone,
i have a friend who wants to buy my roommates ap2 trans but wants to know if it will bolt up to his old f23 engine? i wasnt sure if it would work myself, im not that savvy with mixing parts up and getting them to work, so i told him i would ask on here. now, my roommate will be taking his tranny out already, so my friend is trying to jump on it as soon as possible before someone else buys it. if anyone knows if it will work, or knows how to get it to work, please let me know. thank you.
tim

If you mean an f20C. Yes it will bolt up but he'll have to change the flange in the back of the tranny to match up to the older drive shaft (prop shaft).

No, he's talking about the F23 out of the Accord. I don't think it will, but let's ask the good folks over at Under the Hood...shall we?

The F2XB engines are in no way related to the F2XC engines. They share like zero in common other than bore spacing. And the F and the 2 I guess
So, no.
From what I hear, the F2XB engines are very similar to the H series engines.
