Black exhaust residue

I am getting a lot of black residue on the exhaust tips, and now im even getting a lot on the bumper around the exhaust tips, any idea what it is...my guess is that my plugs are not arching right, and i am getting unused gas not burning right which is causing my car to run to rich...any other ideas out there ??

It's normal soot in the exhaust, don't worry about it. If there was no soot, the engine wouldn't be running. :D

Normal it may be, but on my car it's scary.

do you engage vtec often? the engine runs rich during VTEC to let the engine run cooler (and obviously not to let the engine lean out during high rpm use).

To clean my tips, I use sainless steel sink polish that I picked up at the grocery store.
