Brake light on. Float stuck?

Brake light on. Float stuck?
My brake light has been stuck on. I've searched a bunch and tried the following things.
1. The fluid was between low and full and I topped it off and the light is still on.
2. The top does not go down when the ebrake is down so the parking brake is not the issue it seems.
3. I unplugged the master cylinder sensor and the light goes OFF and ON like it should when the ebrake is applied or not.
So I believer the "float" or the master cylinder switch is bad. The best case would be the float is stuck but I can't find it. I removed the strainer and don't see it but I may just be dumb on this one.
Is the float the circle thing on the left ? And do I just poke it loose?

Yes that is the float. Sometimes the get stuck down. In your pic there is a cutout on the float that rides on a rib in the housing. Finger it and it should open the switch to the brake light. Happens a lot when folks change brake fluid and don't manage their additions........
