Burning oil - need help reading this OBD II diagnostic output info

Try replacing your oil filler cap gasket, spark plug tube gaskets and oil dip stick o-rings, any vacuum leaks might cause bad crankcase ventilation and might reduce your piston ring's ability to seal properly.

In case you've never replaced your PCV valve, replace it - It's cheap and a 5min job.
Also, my F20C does burn 1L per 2500km (~1Q / ~1500miles) but I have only just replaced my gaskets, time will tell whether something changes.

Was going to say filler cap gasket also to reduce oil consumption

Takes a few oil changes for a car to get used to a new oil. I would do a shorter OCI this go around, and likely your consumption will improve, on the next change with the same oil. Amsoil actually recommends people do this when switching to their oil.

Sounds like salesperson voodoo to me.

It does, but I have experienced that whenever I switch oils. Car has ran Castrol Edge 10w 30 most of its life, and any time I use a different oil, consumption goes up. The worst offender was Pennzoil, even ended up with TCT noise. Go back to CE, and comsumption goes back to normal and haven't had TCT noise since. I can't explain why it happens, I don't have a good working theory, but the phenomena is real.

Oil use in the AP1 engine is infamous. Putting the specified oil grade(s) in the engine is a cheap thing to try. Same thing with the OE oil filter torqued to spec. Heavier oil increases friction and may be part of your problem. Spec is 10W-30 or 5W-40, no 50-grade oil. You'll know in a couple thousand miles.
Set valve clearance to the high end of the range as they tighten in use.

On a more serious note there is little you can do to reduce oil consumption, it is always worth a try and I've been there many times in the same situation. Some oil brands and some oil types will burn less. The PCV system is very important, valvecover design between ap1 and ap2 makes a difference to some degree. Oil cap gasket may help. But 99 percent of the time it will come down to valve seals valve guides, or out of round cylinders. Driving style also has some effect on consumption. I remember driving 12 hours on the highway to the Dragon didn't burn a drop on my Ap1, but as soon as I hit the Dragon a couple times a 1/4 to 1/2 of a quart disappeared almost instantaneously.
At the end of the day a bit of oi consumption means nothing on an otherwise healthy running S2000 motor, it is more psychological as people relate oil consumption to an unhealthy engine and every one is looking for the fountain of youth.

What is it about the ap1 that causes it to burn more oil than the ap2?
