Default Caked dirt/sand in roof drain

Hey guys,

Just bought an s2000 but realized that there was a slight leak after a rain. Checked out the usual culprits and found that the roof drains have a lot of dirt and sand in them and it kind of created this hardened layer. There's really not a lot of room to work with. How should i approach trying to clean them?

I tape on a small hose to the end of my wet and dry vacuum to get into the drains and its seems to work great for me. It vacuums everything out. ( leaves, dirt, stems, etc).

+1, vacuum out the hard stuff. Then use a wire hanger or thin stick and poke out the caked-in holes -- mine were so clogged, I filled the area with water and it didn't drain until I poked a hole and cleared all the gunk out. After that, lots of water to clean it all out. It should drain quick when it's all clear.

P.S. Nightmare fix coming back to me -- I also poked my head under the car, and poked the stick through the drain pipe from beneath. That did the most "damage" to the crud.
