Caliper rebuild+powdercoat questions
So when I went to change my brake pads in one of the rear calipers the thing for the piston was rotating but it wasn't getting retracted into the caliper.
Do they just need a rebuild or is this some other issue?
Ive been meaning to get them powdercoated anyway. If I take them apart to get them powdercoated Ill need to rebuild all 4 corners anyway, right?

The pistons in the rear calipers screw in very gradually. It takes a few turns to retract them just a little. Before you start tearing your rear calipers apart, consider using an epoxy caliper paint like G2. It looks a lot like a powder coat finish, holds up well, and you can paint your calipers without disconnecting the brake lines to your car. I painted mine 12 years ago and besides being chipped in places due to sloppy tire installers they look great.
