Default car dies after iacv cleaning

had the car for few weeks now
the idle was dropping after start and at traffic lights
I cleaned up the grounds and battery terminals checked few other things
today cleaned iacv and now the car doesn't just dip idle it actually dies if I rev the motor in neutral
I did the ecu reset and learn idle and nothing changed
still shuts down
is there anything else that could be wrong ?

also weird thing was when I started after resetting the ecu I heard ticking sound fro about 5 seconds and it slowly went away.
never heard it before

When you are doing your ECU reset, are you letting the car figure itself out, or are you blipping the throttle when it looks like it's going to die?

Also, when you cleaned the IACV, did you do it the right way, insofar as the torx bolts and cleaning and spinning the internal shaft until it spins freely?

no i usually spray small amounts of carb cleaner into the iacv intake as the car is warming up. did it to every b series since they all have same issue and it worked every time
i feel like theres another issue that is causing it with this car

You have to clean the iacv per the billman instructions with this car. Look for diy, follow that.

If I may recommend again the link I provided earlier as this was just brought up the other day. I put together a very comprehensive post detailing my issues and the steps taken to resolve my idle issues. The post includes multiple DIY videos and 2 detailed threads explaining idling issues with an incredible amount of information, what to look for and how to resolve them, take 30 minutes and read everything there, and watch those videos, it will really help you come up with a plan and cross items off with a process of elimination. If you don't follow the instructions exactly to clean the IACV or other components then you're pretty much just not doing it right to fix the problem. Good luck!

I already asked:

"When you are doing your ECU reset, are you letting the car figure itself out, or are you blipping the throttle when it looks like it's going to die?"

I asked because the car needs to figure itself out for a few minutes after an ECU reset -- do not touch the throttle when it's about to die after the reset.
