Default Car won't start after sitting for a year

The car has been sitting for 8 months. It cranks but doesn't start. I don't hear the fuel pump go on when the key is turned on. I've checked the fuses and they are fine. Could it be that the gas went bad and clogged the fuel filter or pump? I should still be able to hear it though, so maybe it is an electrical problem. Any guesses? TIA.

Measured voltage at fuel pump connector, reads 5V. I checked the main relay and am getting 12V. Not sure where along the circuitry the problem is...

is the battery good? it needs extra juice to burn that excess fuel thats primed. also, you might wanna try octane booster / lucas fuel stabilizer. I put both in after my car had those symptoms from sitting for 3 months and it fired right up, I quickly filled to the top with premium and refueled again at 1/2 to make sure the gas is at least 91 (highest octane readily avail around here)

Yes, brand new battery. I bought some gas treatment and put it in, but I suspect it's got to be something to do with the fuel pump. I wish there was a CEL , but I dont' have much to go off of

Check the spark plugs, they may be fouled... Come to think of it make sure you have spark at the plugs while your at it

I found out that some injectors are "hibernating" when the car haven't started for so long. I cleaned it and woke up.

I am gonna throw my vote at the fuel pump being the source of problems
