Default Car won't start, DAMN IT!

Hey y'all, I've tried searching for this specific problem but I cant seem to nail it down. Here is the scoop on my 2003 AP1:

- put key in car and turn
- all electronics light up, everything works
- press clutch and push button
- nothing, no crank, no noises, nothing
- Car will pop start and run and drive like normal
- Checked fuses in fuse box, all good to go

Interesting note:

- Found the rubber grommet on my floormat that goes behind the clutch pedal that makes contact with the little switch, replaced it with nut and bolt, still nothing.

Any ideas? What am I missing?

Check your clutch interlock switch. Switch that is above the switch you are talking about.

What do I check for? I went out to the car and it is plugged in, what else do I need to do?

Jump the clutch interlock switch and see if you can start the car

This seems like the culprit, Or check the starter signal wire. Could also be the security system not recognizing the key.

Why has only one person said starter? It's not a terrible job and they are relatively cheap. Always do the easiest sh** first
